The Staff at a Loving Heart Adult Family Home endeavor to provide a positive home environment for those who have limitations due to Physical Limitations, Dementia, and/or Mental Health conditions. Everyone at A Loving Heart Adult Family Home strives to offer a loving atmosphere in a home setting.
We are able to accept all levels of care. The county house is located
about 8 miles from Bellingham, Lynden and Everson on 5 acres with
a beautiful view of Mount Baker. The Bellingham house is located
in the Geneva Hills neighborhood just off Lakeway Drive. We offer
pet therapy with our small dogs "Ace" and "Cuddles".
- We are able to accept all levels of care.
- We now have our own wheelchair van for transporting our
residents to various activities.
- I have over 29 years of care giving experience of which
the last 13 have been in Whatcom County.
- We offer pet therapy with our Sheltie Ace (small dog) and
1 Pomeranian mix Cuddles.
- Both my husband Jack and I live in the Bellingham facility
and are involved daily in the residents care.
- I have many years experience working with Hospice.
- My husband Jack has lived in Whatcom County his entire life
except for his military service time. He recently retired after
20 years of service with the State.
- We are both fluent in both English and Sign Language.
- We have 4 private rooms and 1 shared room, we have 3 bathrooms
and a roll in shower area.
- Alarm system on all external doors as well as front entrance
infrared surveillance camera.
- We have over 2500 sq. feet of space for our residents.
- We have a TV room with a large TV, a VCR/DVD and many
movies.
- We eat our meals as a family around the table.
- Families are encourage to join us with advance notice.
